Microchips help the owner identify the lost pets.

To protect their pets, many owners turn to RFID technology, in the form of identification RFID microchips implanted in their pets. Microchips are tiny transponders, about the size of a grain of rice, that can be implanted in your pet's skin by many veterinarians and animal shelters; some shelters implant one in all pets they place.

The ISO pet chip scanner is smaller in size and allows the user to carry it everywhere comfortably.

The pet chip scanner has an internal rechargeable battery that allows the user to recharge the battery using the included USB cable. This reader is equipped with Bluetooth and Memory and if enabled, the transponder numbers are stored in the reader’s internal memory and can be transmitted via Bluetooth or USB to a PC.

The Pet Microchip Reader reads all FDX-B Transponders compliant with the ISO standard 11785. These are the 15 digit pet microchips.

How do you scan a pet's microchip?

When scanning a dog or cat's microchip, ensure that the scanner is powered on and hold the scanner close to the pet's body using slow back and forth motions starting in between the pet's shoulder blade area. If you do not detect a microchip right away, scan up and down the pet's legs and sides as the microchip may have migrated. It is always a good idea to scan a couple of times to ensure a pet is not microchipped.
